  The Rip Van Winkle Room

The Rip Van Winkle Room (Cottage)
Queen-size bed; quiet cottage room; TV; iron & board; hair dryer full private bath; entrance from porch surround w/maples, oaks and evergreens. Suitable for two; you can bring your own pets w/permission of innkeeper.

Despite what some may have believed, especially in the nineteenth century, Rip Van Winkle is not a real person. Although he is a universal folk legend, Rip is also a literary character that sprang from the pen of one of America’s earliest and most revered Man of Letters, Washington Irving. Who does not know the story of the hen-pecked husband who set off one day for a walk in the woods with his faithful dog, Wolf, not to be seen again for 20 years?
